2010 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Presented by Food & Wine
Feb 25-28th, 2010

A one of a kind extravaganza, the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival, is a national, star-studded, four-day destination event showcasing the talents of the world's most renowned winemakers, spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities. Hosted by Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida and Florida International University (FIU), the festival benefits the Teaching Restaurant and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center, both located at FIU.

Festival Founder and Director Lee Brian Schrager, the Director of Media Relations and Special Events for Southern Wine & Spirits of America, kicks off the ninth annual Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine with the debut of new events and returning classics that guests are sure to savor.  The Festival will take place in and around the sun and sand of South Beach this February 25-28, 2010.
 

Miami International Boat Show

The 69th annual Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail Miami cruises into town February 11-15, 2010, where new and experienced boaters from throughout the world can gather in one place to view, board and buy the best the boating industry has to offer. With special deals on everything from sportfishers, sailboats and mega-yachts to engines and the newest electronics, the 2010 Miami International Boat Show is the ideal place to shop, save and enhance every boating experience.

The five-day event draws tens of thousands of visitors each year and hosts more than 2,000 exhibitors from around the world, filling the Miami Beach Convention Center and Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center with thousands of boats and hundreds of booths showcasing the latest gear and accessories. And for the first time ever, powerboat and sailing enthusiasts can gather in one location to see the best of everything as Strictly Sail Miami moves from its traditional venue at Miamarina at Bayside to Sea Isle Marina, joining forces with the Miami International Boat

White Party

South Beach plays host to a week of fund-raising parties that attract gay and lesbian visitors from all over the world culminating with the legendary White Party.  More than 15,000 party-goers enjoy six days and nights of nonstop entertainment in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

 

Winter Music Conference

Winter Music Conference, in its 25th consecutive year, is one of the most publicized annual music gatherings in the world. A pivotal platform for advancement of the industry, WMC 2009 attracted 1,910 artists and DJs, 3,228 industry delegates from 62 countries and over 70,000 event attendees for a concentrated schedule of more than 500 events presented across 5 days. Music, as one of the world's most accessible cultural art forms, gives WMC the unique ability to cross economic, geographic and social boundaries. Over 1.3 million visitors from 183 countries log on to the WMC website each year.  Established in 1985, WMC is the largest music industry gathering of its kind in the world.

SwimShow 2010
Jul 18-21st, 2010

Miami Beach SwimShow will be held July 18-21st with nightly shows scheduled at various venues throughout South Beach.The runway line-up includes Cali brands such as True Religion Swim, L*Space by Monica Wise and Ed Hardy Swimwear and local favorites including Red Carter and Luli Fama. New York based Tibi will show it's collection for the second season and Charleston, South Carolina-based Marysia Swim will bring it's version of Southern charm to Miami. Also new to the Miami stage are V Del Sol and Aqua di Lara from Canada; Caffe Swimwear from Colombia and White Sands Australia. Cia. Maritima and Poko Pano will also be returning to the stage
 

American Black Film Festival
June 23-26th, 2010

The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is a four day retreat and international film market.  Founded in 1997, the festival is dedicated to strengthening the Black film making community through resource sharing, education, artistic collaboration and career development.  The ABFF was born out of the need to develop distribution opportunities for independent Black films and promote cultural diversity within the motion picture industry.  The festival is held annually in June in Miami, Florida.

Art Basel
