Let Us Bring You the Best of South Beach
South Beach Sip, Skate, and Strike
Ice-skating in Miami? Bowling in the dance club? If you’re looking for out of the ordinary fun that embodies Miami, well look no further than Basement Miami. Basement Miami has combined the pleasures of clubbing, bowling, and ice -skating with booze and music. A whimsical playground for adults, located just ten minutes from our South Beach hotel, Basement is on the bottom floor of the old Art Deco hotel where it’s disco era-inspired decadence is appropriate. The club itself is a jam-packed steamy dance floor with quick bartenders, funky local DJs, giant stuffed animals being tossed around, and the occasional drag queen or two. It’s definitely an "only in Miami" experience. But the real excitement happens in the rainbow colored bowling alley and ice-skating rink across the hall. Take a break from dancing to enjoy drinks and play a few games or show off your boozy skills on the ice.

Any Time is Slushie Time in South Florida
It may be winter everywhere else in the country, but here in sunny South Florida, the temperatures are still nice and toasty. But if the the beachside heat gets the best of you, we recommend a trip to Wet Willie's, a South Beach institution, serving up frozen slushes with a major kick. With a huge variety of drinks alcoholic and otherwise with playful names like "Attitude Improvement" and "Bahama Mama," as well as plenty of tasty food options like wings, burgers and wraps, Wet Willie's has everything you need to while away a sweltering afternoon, and since it's just a mile from our South Beach hotel, you can just walk yourself back after drinking their famed beverage, the aptly named, "Call A Cab."

Slice Worth Sleuthing For
It may surprise you that a pizza place is ranked as the number one place to eat in Miami Beach on TripAdvisor, but Visa-01 Extraordinary Pizza isn’t any ordinary pizza place. You have to put in a bit of work to track down this famed yet hidden pizza joint, but we assure you, it’s worth it. Visa-01 is a small space with only 20 seats, so making a reservation beforehand is highly recommended. Located just over a mile from our South Beach hotel, it’s still easily missed because it’s hidden on the ground floor of an office building. Their specialty pizzas live up to the "extraordinary" in their name, with everything from authentic classic Italian style to a Nutella dessert pizza. Declared a "must" by visitors and locals alike, this is pizza is assuredly worth the footwork necessary to find it.
