Miami Beach Botanical Garden

There is nothing quite as relaxing as a leisurely stroll through the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Located just 10 minutes from The Tides, you should definitely squeeze a visit to this garden into your itinerary. There are so many beautiful plants and trees that it is almost impossible to pick a favorite section of the garden. Since this is South Florida, let’s start with the palm trees. The garden features royal palm, bailey palm, buccaneer palm, and other varieties. You also will not want to miss the serenity of the Japanese Garden. Other highlights include the orchids, an edible garden, and a native garden that attracts wildlife such as butterflies, hummingbirds, and other small animals. You can follow a self-guided tour using your cellphone, and the volunteer docents are happy to answer any questions you may have about the garden. Finish off your lovely and relaxing day with a nice dinner in the 'Turtle Room' of the Tides Restaurant and Terrace.
